News: Delain's Ott'o Schimmelpeninck May Be As Hardcore As It Gets

According to NME, the most metal thing has occurred. The bassist for the metal band Delain, Otto Schimmelpenninck, ruptured his left testicle in the middle of a gig and kept on playing.
The incident happened while Delain was performing in Birmingham, Alabama. A streamer cannon hit Schimmelpenninck's groin while he was playing, and for some reason, he finished out the gig, which is super hardcore.
The bassist posted a very long and detailed Facebook post about the incident. In the post he explains that the episode occurred because there was an extra performer on stage, throwing off his usual placement, putting him in the path of the cannon. He said that the pain was so unbearable that he nearly lost consciousness.
He went on to describe the size that his scrotum had swelled to while he was at the hosopital after the show, saying it was as large as a grapefruit and he almost lost his left testicle.
So metal, so hardcore.
