News: Angels and Airwaves Down to One Original Member

By Chris Reinbold, Contributor

In wake of the release of “Paralyzed” from their upcoming album, The Dream Walker, Angels and Airwaves are now down to only two members.

Tom DeLonge and Ilan Rubin are the only remaining members of the space rock outfit. Rubin replaced Atom Willard on drums several years ago, right before the release of Love: Part Two. Matt Wachter parted ways with the band in the middle of 2014 after serving a seven-year stint with the band after the departure of original bassist, Ryan Sinn.

Just this week, it appears that David Kennedy, who has been involved creatively with DeLonge since the days of his pop-punk/alternative rock outfit Box Car Racer, has parted ways with the band. Now, there are no remaining members from the We Don’t Need to Whisper or I-Empire line-ups, except for DeLonge.

The band will continue on with DeLonge and Rubin, and they are expected to release The Dream Walker in December 2014.
