Aquabear County Fair Hits Athens September 5-6

The Eighth Annual Aquabear County Fair takes place this weekend in Athens,
Ohio for two days of performances by 15 Ohio bands and solo acts, all for free.
The event will be hosted by the music and art cooperative Aquabear Legion, an
Ohio-based company that supports the work of over 150 bands and dozens of
artists and filmmakers by promoting and supporting their work in various ways
such as this.
The fair commences Friday, September 5 at 9:00 PM at The Union with
performances from The D-Rays (Athens), WV White (Columbus), Speaking Suns
(Yellow Springs), The Heartlanders (Athens) and the Summoners (Athens).
The following afternoon, September 6 at 3:00 PM, Haffa’s Records will host solo
artists Joe Anderl (Dayton), Adam Remnant (Athens) and Chris Biester (Athens)
for a more intimate concert, just across the way from The Union.
Later Saturday night at 8:00 PM, The Union will hold the final night of the
fair, entertaining show-goers with music by Hex Net (Athens), Connections
(Columbus), The 1984 Draft (Dayton), Dead Hand of Man (Athens),
Supernobody (Athens), Unmonumental (Athens) and Weedghost (Athens). Be
there or be square.
