News: Fashion Meets Music Festival This Weekend

This upcoming weekend, Columbus will host the inaugural Fashion Meets Music Festival. Taking place over three days (Friday, August 29 through Sunday, August 31) the good tunes and fine threads are taking over the Arena District of Downtown Columbus.
Creating a fusion of fashion and music, the event will host performances by music and fashion industry greats alike. Michelle Williams (of Destiny’s Child), along with O.A.R., Local Natives, Rusko, and Paper Diamond are among the headliners, in addition to after-party entertainment from Future Islands, The Menzingers and Maps & Atlases.
Also attending will be designer and entrepreneur Althea Harper of the successful and innovative ALTHEA HARPER fashion line. Other designers on site consist of Koalacore, Rox & Royalty and Celeste Malvar Stewart.
In addition to the spectacles taking place in the Arena District, the area from High Street to Neil Avenue will be converted into "Nationwide Boulevard," a never-ending succession of gourmet cuisine and beverage trucks along with activities for kids.
