News: Rough Trade NYC Announces Interactive LCD Soundsystem Gallery

LCD Soundsystem’s final show at Madison Square Garden was two years ago, yet it still seems like the band split just yesterday. To commemorate the farewell concert, Rough Trade NYC will host an interactive exhibit titled “LCD Soundsystem: The Long Goodbye”, as noted by Pitchfork.

Rough Trade co-owner Stephen Godfroy recently said in a press release, "The joy of having a record shop is being able to celebrate music as an art form, and over the last decade there have been few artists who've evolved music more as art form than LCD Soundsystem.”

Running from April 7 to May 7, the exhibit will showcase prints taken by photographer Ruvan Wijesooriya, exclusive videos from the final show as well as an advance pressing of the band’s Record Store Day release, a 5xLP vinyl box set of the audio from the final show from April. Following the Record Store Day release, there will be a digital/vinyl release in the UK via Parlophone and in the U.S. via Warner Bros on May 19 and May 20, respectively.
